/IBPP/R3_DEF_BOMIT_R - BAdI: Relevance Checks for Bill of Material Items

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the SAP GTS, identity-based preference processing component. You use this BAdI to define the components for which an ID is determined. This influences the preference calculation in GTS. For components with an ID, the calculation selects and processes the preference status on the ID level. For components without an ID, the calculation selects and processes the preference status on the product level.
The BAdI is called when a production or process order is transferred to IBPP.
You have defined the settings for order transfer in Customizing activityDefine Settings for Order Transfer.
For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).
IBPP comes with a fallback implementation. The system executes the following checks to determine the IBPP relevance for a BoM component:
- Material is batch managed
- At least one attribute of the material’s classification class is mapped to the preference synchronization API (see Customizing activity Define Mapping of API Fields to Batch Characteristics)
The ID type is always “1” – “Batch”.
For information about implementingBAdIs as part of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
