In this Customizing activity you determined whether the unwinding provisions of the current or previous period are to be offset against the corresponding risk provision positions if a certain adjustment effect category is used. For example, it is this possible to offset unwinding with the corresponding risk provision positions before transferring the risk provision position from an unwinding-relevant impairment category to an impairment category not relevant for unwinding. This ensures that no unwinding position is displayed in an impairment category not relevant for unwinding.

The example below describes three change effects before which the unwinding can be offset in the RBD ipx standard.

Depending on the valuation method, RBD area, and risk provision position, define during the execution of which adjustment effect category unwinding positions from the current or previous period are to be offset against the corresponding risk provision positions.

The unwinding positions are to be offset for the valuation method 20, RBD area 0001, and risk provision position 10, if the adjustment effect categories CU (currency change), IC (impairment category change), or RC (RBD class change) are used.
