APO_CTM_DCHAR_PRIO - Define Special Sorting of Descriptive Characteristics

You can use fields from the field catalog for descriptive characteristics . In this step, enter priorities for these fields that you want to have sorted using the special sorting option within demand prioritization, in Capable-to-Match (CTM). Here, you prioritize all fields that you want to use for descriptive characteristics and that are not prioritized in Maintain Special Sorting .

To do this, choose SAP APO → Supply Chain Planning → Supply Network Planning → Capable-to-Match → Demand Prioritization → Maintain Special Sorting within Customizing.

The field catalog must contain all necessary fields.

For every field value, enter only one priority.

1. Choose Sorting criteriaand New entries.
2. Using the input help, choose a field from the field catalog.
3. Select the new field from the list and choose Sorting sequence.
4. Enter the required priority and a value for the field.

Before you can use descriptive characteristics for sales orders and demand orders, you must

• Maintain a consumption group in Customizing

• Enter the consumption group in the relevant location product on the requirements tab page

• Create sales orders from SAP R/3 or demand orders from Demand Planning in the liveCache.

Only then will the descriptive characteristics be available in the liveCache to be sorted according to priorities using special sorting within CTM demand prioritization.
