SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you define the layout of the Order View or the Periods tab page in the Product View. The settings affect periods, row headings, colors, buttons and general settings for table formats, column widths and days' supply types.

Apart from the general settings, the following profiles only affect the Periods tab page.

Period Profile

In this profile, you define which period type is to be used in planning. You can define shifts, days and weeks as periods. If you choose the setting User-defined, you can combine periods; for example, first in shifts and after two days, in days.

Row Heading Profile

In this profile, you define which objects are displayed and in which sequence.
The following objects are displayed in the row heading: material number, material short text, location number and location short text. You can define the sequence of these objects in the row heading profile. Objects for which you do not define a sequence are not displayed. You can also make these settings for the heading of the production view in the product planning table.

Color Profile

You use this profile to define the color assigned to the cells if certain business events are valid for them, such as an alert situation. You assign a color to the business event and define the priority it is displayed with. This makes sense if multiple events are assigned to the cells.
The Business Add-In /SAPAPO/PPT_COLOURS checks in the application which event is assigned to the cell. You define new business events in the table /SAPAPO/PT_COLP (See the documentation on the BAdI).

  • Button Profile In this profile you define which buttons are visible in the application tool bar. You store a function code for each button. You can also store function codes for entries in a pull-down menu. In addition, you specify the sequence in which the buttons or menu entries are display, based on priority. You can also deactivate the buttons by means of an indicator.
The Business Add-In /SAPAPO/PPT_UCOMM ensures that the corresponding function is executed when you click the button. You create new function codes in the table SAPAPO/PT_BTN. (See the documentation on the BAdI).
  • General Settings
In this profile you make general settings such as table display, grouping in the navigation tree and days' supply types.
  • Enhanced Table Display
You can define that tables in the Product View, the Receipt and Requirements View and the and the Context for an Order screen, are to be displayed using an enhanced table format. This format provides you with additional functions, such as, to filter, search and print within the table.

  • Grouping in the Navigation Tree
You can define how the data in the tree structure of the Product View is grouped, for example, by planner, product, location and so on.
  • Days' Supply Types
You can enter up to three predefined days' supply types that are to be calculated when you call up the Product View, the Alert Monitor, or the Product Planning Table.
If you do not wish to work with the standard days' supply types, you must maintain your own days' supply types. You do this in the IMG activity Maintain Days' Supply Types.
See data element /SAPAPO/RRP_CVTY1
  • Days' Supply Units
You can define in which unit the system displays the days' supply, on the Periods tab page, for example, in days, weeks, months and so on.

If you do not wish to use the SAP standard profiles, create your own.
