SAP E-Book

Before converting a planned order or a purchase requisition into a production order or a purchase order, the system can execute conversion checks and exclude the order from conversion if it does not fulfill the prerequisites for conversion. There are various standards checks, such as the ATP check, with which you can check the component availability for a planned order.

With the /SAPAPO/RRP_ORD_CONV Business Add-In (BAdI), you can implement checks that check with an order can be converted, according to customer-specific criteria.

  • Before the system can execute the user-specific conversion checks, you must have defined a conversion rule, for which you have set the BAdI check indicator, in the customizing for Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS). You assign can the conversion rule to the receipt products, or you can enter it as a globally valid conversion rule in the PP/DS customizing under Maintain Global Parameters and Defaults.
  • To enable a user to convert an order in interactive planning, even if the order does not fulfill the customer-specific conversion prerequisites, the following prerequisites must be fulfilled:
  • In the role assigned to the user, you have defined a corresonding authorization using the authorization object for the location product APO:PP/DS Location product (C_APO_MALO). You issue the authorization to override the checks in the BAdI by specifying a value, defined by yourself, in the functions in PP/DS(APO_PPFUNC) authorization field; you must create this value as a new fixed value in the domain /SAPAPO/PPDS_FUNCTION.

  • You can check the current user's authorizations for this function in the BAdI. Depending on the authorization, you issue a warning or an error message.

  • The Business Add-In is not active in the standard system
  • The Business Add-In is not filter-dependent
  • The Business Add-In cannot be used more than once
