In this IMG activity you assign a planning version and process which can be processed in parallel a logon/server group. All process IDs are grouped in the domain /sapapo/rsp_procid.

You therefore make it possible for several processes that are executed in parallel to be executed on different server groups.

The following possibilities exist when initializing the server groups:

  • If a suitable entry (planning version, process ID, server group) is found, the corresponding server group is initialized.
  • If no entry is found that fits exactly, the system searches for the entry "planning version INITIAL, process ID, server group". When it finds this entry, the corresponding server group is initialized.
  • If, however, the system also cannot find this entry, the "default server group" is initialized.

When processing RFC destinations (transaction SM59), you made the basic settings for logon groups via RFC > RFC-Groups. The minimum number of free work processes must be set to at least 2.
