In this IMG activity, you assign default means of transport to shipping conditions.

Scheduling uses the means of transport to determine the transport duration of the transportation lane as well as the transportation distance. The following additional factors are also relevant:

  • Where the locations are situated
  • Distance surcharge (as the crow flies)
  • The average speed (dependent on the type of means of transport)

The shipping conditions must be maintained uniformly in all calling or predecessor systems.

You should create an entry in which you specify a means of transport but no shipping condition. The system uses this means of transport if no shipping condition has been passed on.
