SAP E-Book

You use demand profiles when configuring product master data and when maintaining products. If you change a profile that is used in one or more products, the product master is automatically updated.

You use the demand profile to define how demand is calculated during the Supply Network Planning and deployment runs.

  1. In the Demand Profile field, enter a demand profile ID.
  2. In the Profile Text field, enter a description of the demand profile.
  3. In the Forecast Horizon field, enter the number of days for which you want the forecast horizon to be valid. Within this horizon, the forecast is not considered as a part of the total demand.
  4. In the VMI Promotion Lead Time field, define the number of days you want for the product promotion lead time of a VMI customer, if applicable.
  5. In the Pull Deployment Horizon field, specify the number of days over which you want distribution demand to be considered during the deployment calculation.
  6. In the Period Split field, define the periods into which you want the planning data to be disaggregated (split) when you release the demand plan from Demand Planning to Supply Network Planning.
  7. Save your data.
