In this IMG activity, you specify how the system is to calculate the demand frequency in the following applications:

• Shortage analysis

• Inbound delivery monitor

Demand frequency is the average number of monthly order items. The basis for calculating the demand frequency can be the forecast order items of the current period (for example, the current month) or the order items of a certain period of time in the past. The system calculates a weighted average on the basis of past order items.

Specify whether the system is to calculate the demand frequency for the current period or for the past.

If the system is to use order items from the past, specify under weighting factors the months that are to be covered by the calculation. Specify a weighting factor for each month (that is the percentage of order items for the relevant month). The sum of all weighting factors must equal 100.
