This Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/BADI_FCST_ERROR is used in the Service Parts Planning (SPP) application component.

You can use this BAdI to define your own forecast error in addition to the forecast error we supply, for example, the root of the mean square error (MSE). The system requires the values of the forecast error to determine the optimal forecast model, that is, the model with the smallest forecast error, during automatic model selection.

If you want to use the forecast error that you defined for planning, then on the Model Selection tab page, in the Forecast errors in Automatic Model Selection field, you must have selected the entry User-Defined Forecast Errors.

To access the forecast profile, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Logistics -> Extended Service Parts Planning -> Planning -> Forecasting.

In the standard system, there is no activated BAdI implementation.

The BAdI is not filter-dependent.

The BAdI is not designed for multiple uses.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
