SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you can define key figure views for the forecasting function in Extended Service Parts Planning (eSPP), create layouts for these key figure views, and assign the views to your planners.

You can also specify how many decimal places you want the system to display for the key figures of the following eSPP functions:

  • Interactive forecasting
  • Inventory planning
  • Phase-in forecasting
  • Phase-out forecasting
  • Manual adjustment of demand history
  • DRP Matrix
  • Historical forecasts

  • Definition Key Figure View
Under Definition Key Figure View you can create key figure views for the Interactive Forecasting and DRP Matrixapplications by specifying a key figure view ID and a description of the key figure view.
  • Layout Key Figure View
Under Layout Key Figure View you can create a layout for each of the defined key figure views, in other words you can specify which key figures should be visible on the user interface. To do this, for each key figure view you choose the key figures that the layout should contain in the Semantic field, and in the Sequence field, you specify where else this key figure is to appear on the user interface. You can also define how many decimal places you want the system to display for each key figure in the Decimal Places field. If you choose From Semantic Maintenance in this field, the system takes the entry that you made under Semantic Maintenance for this key figure.
  • Assignment User - Key Figure View
Under Assignment User - Key Figure View you can assign the defined key figure views to planners. If you assign several key figure views to one planner, you can choose one of these key figure views as default. On the Interactive Forecasting or DRP Matrix screen your planner then always sees the default key figure view first but can still choose any of the other key figure views assigned to him.
If you have not assigned a key figure view to a planner, the system checks whether you have assigned a key figure view to a dummy planner. If so, the system chooses this key figure view of the dummy planner. If not, the system displays all key figures. You can create a dummy planner by leaving the User field empty in the assignment.
  • Semantic Maintenance
Under Semantic Maintenance you can specify how many decimal places you want the system to display for each key figure.
