In this activity the system performs an initialization for the data realignment of the demand history and the demand history raw data. Before you can use the function Data Realignment of the Demand History, you must perform this initialization process once for each of the InfoProviders to be adjusted.

The system checks the table for the data realignment steps. If the table does not exist or if the existing table is overwritten, the system regenerates the table.

If you want to generate the data realignment step table only, do not select Regenerate DataSources.

The system checks the DataSource for the (near) real-time loading. If the DataSource does not yet exist or if the existing DataSource is overwritten, the system regenerates the DataSource.

If you have selected the Overwrite checkbox, you must note the following:

  • The system automatically deletes the existing table for data realignment and regenerates it without you influencing it. Existing data realignment steps are lost as a result.
  • The system deletes the existing DataSource for the real-time data acquisition (RDA) and regenerates it without you influencing it. After this operation you must check whether the changes affect the existing RDA. It might be necessary to re-initialize the existing RDA.

If you have selected the Create Indexes checkbox, you must manually activate the index in transaction SE11.

We deliver the realignment profile for the demand history and the demand history raw data with Customizing. We recommend that you only change the profile if you have a very good knowledge of SAP NetWeaver usage type Business Intelligence for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO).

To maintain the realignment profile you can set the maintenance view /SAPAPO/V_RLGPRF in transaction SM31.

The InfoProvider that is to be adjusted for the demand history is 9ADEMMUL.

The InfoProvider that is to be adjusted for the demand history raw data is 9ARAWMUL.

Execute the initialization for both the InfoProviders 9ADEMMULand 9ARAWMUL.

If you want to execute a simulation of data realignment, you must note the following:

  • For each copied InfoProvider, you must make an entry in the maintenance view /SAPAPO/V_RLGPRF.
  • You must execute the initialization process for the copied InfoProvider.
