In this IMG activity you define rounding profiles that the following planning services of Extended Service Parts Planning can use:

• Inventory Planning

• Distribution Requirements Planning

• Deployment

• Inventory Balancing

You can use a rounding profile in several of these planning services. To do so, you specify the rounding profile defined here in the service profile of each planning service.

In a rounding profile you define the parameter for the determination of the rounding-relevant packaging specifications:

• Description: Enter a description of the rounding profile.

• Default Packaging Specification: If the system does not find packaging instructions using the determination procedure, it uses the default packaging specification.

• Determination Procedure: The system uses this to determine the packaging specification.

• Overwrite Packaging Instructions: If you have set this indicator, the system overwrites the packaging instructions of the default packaging specification and the packaging specifications found by the determination procedure.
