In this IMG activity, you assign forecast model types and forecast types to the forecast strategies used in the forecast.

The forecast strategy determines which methods and procedures are used when creating a sales forecast. You must assign this strategy to a forecast model, so that it is available in inventory planning for selecting a statistical model (such as, normal distribution, or poisson distribution).

In addition, you must assign a forecast type to every forecast strategy. This determines whether this strategy is based on constant or non-constant (such as, seasonal) inventory planning.
