APO_TPVS_06 - Maintain Compatibility of Means of Transport/Transportation Group

In this IMG activity, you specify whether a means of transport is compatible or incompatible with a transportation group.

The compatibilities or incompatibilities that you maintain here are taken into account in multilevel planning and in the optimization run. They are considered as hard constraints in the optimization run.

A transportation group includes products that need to be cooled. Trucks with cooling apparatus are compatible with this transportation group. All other truck types are not suitable for this transportation group and are therefore viewed as incompatible.

In Customizing, you have maintained a means of transport and defined its compatibility; that is, whether it is Compatible with All, Compatible (by Transportation Group Assignment) or Incompatible (by Transportation Group Assignment). You have also created the relevant transportation groups.

1. Choose the IMG activity for maintaining the compatibility between the means of transport and transportation group. You see the Change View "Means of Transport/Transport Group (Product) Compatibility".
2. Choose New Entries. You see the screen New Entries: Overview of Added Entries.
3. Use input help (F4) to select a means of transport.
4. Use input help to select the transportation group to which the means of transport should be assigned.
5. Save your entries.
6. Choose Back.
7. You return to the Change View "Means of Transport/Transport Group (Product) Compatibility" in which existing entries and all new entries are displayed. The Compatibility field now shows whether the selected means of transport is compatible with the transportation group or not. The value that is displayed refers to the compatibility maintained for the means of transport.
   You can change the selected means of transport and transportation groups on this screen.
