The integration of SAP S/4HANA with external systems requires the availability of SAP S/4HANA data, that is, master data and Customizing data, in the external system. The replication of this data is performed using the data replication framework (DRF).

Currently, the replication of the following procurement-related data to external systems is supported:

  • Purchasing groups
  • Purchasing organizations
  • Account assignment categories
  • Assignments of plant to purchasing organization
  • Plant

For further information about the Customizing of the data replication framework (DRF) in general, you can read the documentation that is available for the Customizing activities for data replication in transaction DRFIMG.

The relevant DRF transactions for the data replication are Define Filter Criteria(DRFF) and Execute Data Replication(DRFOUT).

If no filter criteria are defined for a replication model, all business objects in the replication model that are relevant for distribution are sent to the external system. This can lead to unwanted distribution of objects. For this reason, you must ensure that you specify the filter criteria after the DRF replication model has been activated.
