This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Availability Check component (SD-BF-AC). You can use this BAdI to adjust the data that an application transfers to the ATP check. You can, for example, add adjustment records to sales and distribution documents (method SD_ADD_COR_LINES).

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enh.Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

The default implementation is designed to work together with the Customizing for Logistics – General -> Segmentation -> Define Segmentation Strategies.

You have done the following for the execution of the default implementation:

  1. You have activated the business function LOG_SEGMENTATION.
  2. You have defined the segmentation strategy with the following settings:
    1. Scope = Requirement and Stock Segments Maintained or Scope = Only Requirement Segments Maintained
    2. Priority sequence for valid requirement segment combinations along with stock protection indicator
    3. Mapping rule for ATP: Requirement/Stock Allocation so that several requirement segments are mapped to one stock segment only
  3. You have assigned the segmentation strategy and maintained the stock protection indicator for the material in the material master.
  4. You have created planned independent requirements as a placeholder for the higher priority requirement segment demand. (Actual demand for higher priority is entered later in the system on receipt of sales orders. Until then unconsumed planned independent requirements act as a stock protection mechanism.)
  5. You have maintained the segmentation strategy for the consumption of planned independent requirements where the requirement segment of the customer requirement has to match the requirement segment of the planned independent requirements. For example, a sales order with the requirement segment A1 consumes the planned independent requirements in the requirement segment A1.

During an ATP check, unconsumed planned independent requirements are considered as confirmed demand. Therefore, stock protection is achieved.

Note:

Rush orders and outbound deliveries do not consider this implementation.
