BA-CA-VTBKK_PN_RES - Define Residence Time for Prenotes
BAL Application Log Documentation BAL Application Log DocumentationThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity you define the archiving period for each bank area, after which the prenote is to be archived. This archiving period is the period of time that the prenotes are retained in the database before being moved to the archive.
The system determines the residence time of prenote by checking whether its attributes match the settings made in the Customizing activity. The system checks for the highest match (all attributes match) to the lowest match of attributes in the following order:
- Bank area, Prenote Type, Product
- Bank area, Prenote Type
- Bank Area
You have processed the following Customizing activities in Customizing for Bank Customer Accounts (IS-B-BCA):
Notes
The residence time is in calendar days. The system converts the data as follows:
- Year -> 365 days
- Month -> 30 days
- Week -> 7 days
The residence time that you enter must be later or the same as the minimum residence time that you define in the above Customizing activity Maintain Global Control with Archiving Engine.
If you do not make an entry in this Customizing activity, the standard residence time applies, as defined for the relevant archived business object in the Customizing activity Maintain Global Control with Archiving Engine.
For more information about the prenote archiving object, see BKKPRENOTE.
Further Notes
To set an archiving period for the whole bank area, only specify bank area, time period, and time unit. If you have also specified a period for a prenote type in this bank area, the system uses this more detailed specification to calculate the residence time.
