Use

This Business Add-In (BAdI) Procedures for Quantity Proposal is used in the Batch Management (LO-BM) component for the business context Batch Determination. In the standard setting the quantity proposal consists of choosing the first elements in the available batch in accordance with the search strategy. You can use this BAdI to change the way the quantities are distributed in the quantity proposal.

Requirements

Batch determination is activated in the system in the application for which the quantities are to be proposed by this BAdI.

Parameters

The following parameters are provided:

Import Parameters

  • CONTEXT: Contains the quantity proposal context, including parameters for Production and Process Order, Inventory Management, Sales and Distribution. Note that the fields are only provided if available. For example, even for Sales and Distribution, the Sales Order Number is not provided if the sales order is currently being created.
  • QUANTITYTOBEDISTRIBUTED: Quantity to be distributed.
  • BATCHSTOCKAVAILABILITY: Batch stock availability. Contains the batch number, its storage location, available quantity, and the batch determination item.

Export Parameters

  • QUANTITYPROPOSAL: Contains the proposed quantity distribution which consists of the batch determination item referring to the corresponding entry of the batch stock availability and the distributed quantity which belongs to it. The QUANTITYPROPOSAL may contain a value prefilled by other implementations of the BAdI. For example, this situation might arise if the BAdI is implemented by partner extensions.

Exceptions

  • CX_BLE_RUNTIME_ERROR: Exception used to re-signal extension or app code errors.

Example

As an example, you can have a quantity proposal which takes into consideration the remaining stock in the available quantities and makes the proposal which leaves the least possible remaining stock.
