A business process type is:

• The classification of business transactions into smaller units such as sale, production, lease, or consumption.

• One of the three major factors used for tax event determination along with Partner and Product Taxability

You define the business process type so that the you can assign the business partners Tax To and Tax From to it in the Customizing activity:

Assign Tax From and Tax To to Business Process Type

Note

Only a business process that has been assigned a Tax To and Tax From party can regarded as complete and usable for the tax event determination

Validate your Customizing settings in:

Validate Customizing Settings

1. Enter an ID for the business process type.

The ID can be numerical, alphabetical, or an alpha-numerical combination of up to 3 characters.

1. Enter a short description.
2. Save your entries.
