Using this activity you define:

  • How you want imported product categories to be mapped to your own internal product categories
  • How you want imported attributes to be mapped to your own product master attributes
  • Categories to be included in a category filter

Schema Mapping

In this step, you assign a name to the mapping, specify the schema to which it applies and specify whether you require a filter:

  1. Enter a name, such as Mapping for Schema MYCOMPANY.
  2. Select a schema using input help.
  3. If required, select a filter type. If you select filter type Positive filter, only those product categories explicitly specified in the Category filter are imported. If you select filter type Negative filter, all product categories are imported except those specified.

Category Assignment

In this step, you assign how imported product categories are to be mapped to your internal product categories:

  1. Under Imported Category, select a product category using input help.
  2. Under Product Hierarchy, select the product hierarchy to which you want the imported category to be mapped using input help.
  3. Under Product Category, select the internal product category to which you want the imported category to be mapped using input help.

Attribute Assignment

In this step, you assign how imported attributes are to be mapped to your product master attributes:

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Under Imported Attributes, select an imported attribute using input help.
  3. Under Set Type, select the set type to which you want to assign the attribute using input help.
  4. Under Product attribute, select the product attribute from this set type to which you want to assign the imported attribute.

Category Filter

Under Category, you enter the names of product categories you want to include in the category filter. According to whether you selected a positive or negative filter for this schema mapping, these categories will be either explicitly included in or excluded from import.
