You can define and control the behavior of the user interface (UI) or other presentation layers by means of metadata. Metadata determines whether fields are visible or editable, or whether actions are active.

You can define metadata at header, item, and set level. SAP provides standard and customer tables. Customer tables allow you to create your own entries.
