SAP E-Book

You can use the BC Set /SCWM/PROD_SUPPLY to create warehouse-number dependent customizing for production supply purposes in an existing warehouse:

  • Stock Types (P2, P4, P6) and Availibility Group (003) related to the ERP production storage location
  • Storage Types (1000, 1005 and 9015) and dependent objects such as storage sections, staging areas and activity areas used in the production supply process
  • Process Types (2100, 3100, 4100) used in the production supply process

The customizing entries of this BC Set are also contained in the general BC Sets /SCWM/BASICS, /SCWM/WE_PROCESS, /SCWM/WA_PROCESS and /SCWM/INTERNAL_WH_PROCESS. It is not necessary to run the BC Set /SCWM/PROD_SUPPLY if you run the general BC Sets for your warehouse.

IMG Activities

For an overview of the IMG activities contained in the BC Set, use the function Overall View.

Prerequisites

The process type determination contains entries that are dependent from delivery document types (IPS, OPC, OPS, TPS). Therefore it is necessary to run the delivery-specific BC Sets required in your production supply process. Refer to the documentation of the BC Sets /SCWM/DLV_INBOUND_PS_ORDER, /SCWM/DLV_INBOUND_PS_KANBAN, /SCWM/DLV_OUTBOUND_PS_ORDER, /SCWM/DLV_OUTBOUND_PS_KANBAN, /SCWM/DLV_OUTBOUND_PC, /SCWM/DLV_STOCK_TRANS_PS, /SCWM/DLV_TRANSFER_PS_ORDER, /SCWM/DLV_TRANSFER_PS_KANBAN to know which delivery document types are necessary in your production supply process.

Activation

You can activate the BC Set as often as required.

If you do not use the delivery document types IPS, OPC, OPS or TPS, the BC Set activation will result in errors for the object /SCWM/TPTYPDET (process type determination). You can ignore these errors as the process type determination is not required for document types you do not use.

Actions after Activation

If you use a production storage location, it is necessary to maintain the mapping of the ERP storage location in the Customizing. Choose Extended Warehouse Management > Interfaces > ERP Integration > Goods Movements > Map Storage Locations from ERP System to EWM.

Assign the production storage location to availability group 003 and the stock in the production storage location will automatically be posted to the production-specific stock types P2, P4 and P6.
