With this Customizing activity, you can specify how the ILM store is set up in your system landscape.

As a system or cloud administrator, you can define the client who requests the store of the data into the ILM Store. To this client, you can assign an administrative origin and define operational origins to the created client.

  • The logical file name points to the root of the file system where all the file system based operations in the context of this client will be made.
  • An administrative origin is required as credential if the customer wants to adopt the operative customizing. It cannot be used to store data.
  • An operational origin represents a data container and decides where incoming data from the store user should be stored.
  • The Monitoring property indicates if the ILM Store Monitoring component shall take care of this origin. If this is set on the administrative level it means that all origins that belong to this administrative origin are to be monitored.
  • The ILM Store user names the user that is used as the WebDAV user for this client.
  • The associated operational origins can be used by the client to define different data containers. Each origin can point to a different storage media, as the local file system or an SAP IQ database. The most important setting is the database connection for TILM_STOR_BLOB because here you define where the data belonging to an origin will be stored physically.
