In Behavioral Insights, the event extraction configurations are used to extract event-related data for application-specific events.

In the Maintain Events Extraction Customizing activity, you can configure event extraction rules. You can also edit the field value of the existing event extraction rule.

  • The field name and the corresponding field values used in this Customizing activity must exist in the source table.
  • The event ID to be assigned to the new event extraction must be created using the Maintain CategoryCustomizing activity.
  • The contract account category to be used to create a new event extraction rule must already have been configured. You can configure the contract account category using the Configure Contract Acct Categories and Assign Number Rangesactivity. You can access this activity using the following path in Customizing:
Financial Accounting> Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable> Basic Functions> Contract Accounts> Number Ranges and Contract Account Categories.

To add a new event extraction rule, you must enter the following details:

  • Event ID: Select an Event ID from the existing list of events.
Note:While running a search for the Event ID 24, the field value maintained for the HVORG field name is excluded from the search result.
  • Source Table:Specify the name of the source table. The default source tables are listed in the table below. You must only specify a source table from the default source tables.
  • Field Name:Specify the field name from the source table. The default field names associated with the corresponding source tables are listed below. You must only specify a source table from the default source tables.
The table below lists the default source table names and the associated field names that can be used while configuring a new event extraction rule:

  • Field Value:Specify the field value.
  • Account Category: Select an Account Category from the existing list of Contract Account Categories.
