You only have to work through this section if you use concurrent employment. For more information, see SAP note 517071.

You make the Customizing settings in this section to make the wage types of the payroll result, stored in the internal tables at person level, available for customer-specific evaluations at the level of individual personnel assignments. You distribute amounts from source wage types in the internal tables IT_PERSON and RT_PERSON to target wage types in the internal tables IT and RT of each personnel assignment. Target wage types are usually customer-specific wage types.

In this way you can, for example, distribute the net remuneration of a concurrently employed person to his or her individual personnel assignments in order to evaluate the remuneration per personnel assignment. For this type of wage type distribution you use function XDIST (Distribution of person-related wage types for concurrent employment ).

Make the following settings in this section:

  • In the IMG activity Set Up Distribution Basis for Wage Types specify which characteristic of each personnel assignment the system should use to calculate which amounts should be distributed from the source wage type to the personnel assignments.
  • In the IMG activity Set Up Distribution Rule for Wage Types assign a distribution method to your distribution basis. The distribution method can, for example, determine that the source wage type should be distributed by percentage or equally to the personnel assignments. The combination of distribution basis and distribution method results in a distribution rule.

If you use concurrent employment in your system, the distribution of person-related wage types also takes place for employees who only have one personnel assignment. In this case, function XDIST distributes the full amount from the source wage type to the one target wage type at the personnel assignment level.

Note
When you compare wage types, which you have distributed to the personnel assignments, to wage types that are stored in the payroll result of the personnel assignment, it is possible that rounding differences can occur. You can, for example, distribute the amount of wage type /560 (Payment Amount) to the personnel assignments of a concurrently employed person. Wage type /101 (Total Gross Amount) is already available in the payroll result of each personnel assignment. If you now create the difference for a personnel assignment from the total gross amount and all deductions, you may not receive the same amount as the payment amount from the distribution of wage type /560 for this personnel assignment.

A concurrently employed person has three personnel assignments. For a customer-specific evaluation you want to distribute the amount of wage type /550 (Statutory Net Amount) from table RT_PERSON to the personnel assignments. You use the planned working time of the personnel assignments, measured in working hours, as the distribution basis. You use a distribution method, that determine the percentage of the source wage type amount that is distributed to each target wage type, depending on the share of each personnel assignment in the total planned working time of the employee.

In the current payroll period the planned working time is distributed to the personnel assignments as follows:

Pers.Assign Planned working time Percentage share
1 100 hours 50%
2 50 hours 25%
3 50 hours 25%

The amount of the source wage type /550 in table RT_PERSON is 2000. The function XDIST distributes this amount to the personnel assignments of the employee as follows:
