BOOKAA_OE - BOOKAA OE

This manual illustrates the business-related functions of the Asset Management(AM) system. Asset Management consists of several components. The components enable you to carry out the functions of traditional asset accounting, investment controlling, and the technical management of assets for the purposes of plant maintenance.

This manual describes the ways in which the system can be configured, and demonstrates how the AM System can be modified to reflect your needs. This manual describes the business management concepts that form the basis of the system, and how the system carries out the corresponding functions. The Implementation Guide describes the actual process of setting up (customizing) the system. You access the Implementation Guide online in the Customizing menu of the system.

The User Guide describes how to work with the system once it has been set up. The User Guide describes the AM business processes in a task-oriented way. You can access this manual online also, from the Asset Management application menu via Help -> Extendend help.

This manual was created within the framework of a pilot project in a new form as so-called Hypertext. The format of the printout therefore deviates a little from that of the printed documentation for the other applications.

You can access the entire online manual using the Asset Customizing menu via Environment -> Syst. Admin. Guide. If necessary, you can you can also print hard copies of the manual. However, it is not possible to print the diagrams.
