BOOKBC_LANG_KL12 - BOOKBC LANG KL12

If a language supplementation is scheduled, the system checks whether the code pages of the source and target languages are compatible.

The following rules apply:

1. Supplementation with language English is always permitted, as
no conflicts arise in the character set.

2. Supplementation of languages with the same code page is
similarly always permitted.

3. If the code page of the source and target languages can not be
determined, supplementation is not possible.
In this instance, first check that the language code pages are
correctly configured (refer to the current MNLS notes; TCP0C
tables,...)

4. If the code pages of the source and target language are different,
an error message will only be displayed if supplementation has still
not taken place. In this case the supplementation logic should be
reconsidered and altered.
However, if the system establishes that supplementation with the
selected source language has already taken place for previous
releases, the supplementation is recognized as being active and
can not be undone. In this case merely a warning message is
displayed. This says that source language characters sometimes
cannot be displayed correctly after copying to the target language
(supplementation).
