The User Manual for migration provides an overview and support in the following areas:

• Operating the LS>Migration Workbench

• Procedures in migration

• Performing minor modifications on the standard system

Detailed descriptions are available here. However the user handbook should not replace the F1 help in the individual function areas of the migration tool. You should always refer to the user handbook for the individual migration objects.

The user handbook describes the following areas in detail:

• General

Here you can find information about the migration principle. Important basic concepts and structures are also explained.

• Migration menu

The menu is described with the individual functions. You can find detailed information about how to proceed with the menus.

• What do In have to do during migration?

Processes that you encounter frequently in the migration environment are described here.

• Migration objects

In this section you can find information about transfering certain constellations. You can also find information about structuring import files.

• Defining migration objects

This area describes all the neccessary activities for determining user defined migration objects.

• Alterations to system scope

In this section you can find documentation about alterations to already existing migration objects for every release. You can also find information about new functions.
