Pay attention to note 870126 (ITS-based ESS services in mySAP ERP 2005) for all settings in this section.

The documentation in this section of the Implementation Guide (IMG) refers only to the old version of the Employee Self-Service (ESS) component. This version primarily contains applications that are based on the Internet Transaction Server (ITS). This version will be replaced with mySAP ERP 2004 (SAP ECC 5.0).

If you want to implement the Employee Self-Service (ESS) component with mySAP ERP 2004 for the first time, or you want to upgrade to the new version, this IMG section is not relevant. This section will remain to be available only until the old version of the Employee Self-Service (ESS) component has been completely replaced.
