BPCUST_MULTIADDR_BF - Activate Multiple Address Handling for Customer Master Data in SAP BP

Multiple address handling in customer master data provides you with the flexibility to maintain address-specific information in customer master data using address-dependent fields.

Note that once activated, multiple address handling in customer master data cannot be deactivated. However, activation should not have any disruptive effects, and all business processes remain as they are. No existing master data records are changed automatically.

Activating this functionality is the prerequisite for activating multiple address handling in SD documents, which enables SD documents to consume multiple addresses and address-dependent data from a single business partner (BP) master record. You can activate multiple address handling in SD documents by performing the Activate Multiple Address Handling in SD Documents Using SAP BP configuration activity.

To activate this functionality, change the switch state in this configuration activity to ON.

Before you activate this functionality, please familiarize yourself with the following:

• For more information about multiple address handling in customer master data, search for ‘Multiple Address Handling in Customer Master Data' in your version of SAP S/4HANA Cloud on SAP Help Portal.

• For technical guides (for example, Master Data Guide and Configuration Guide), important restrictions, and a direct link to the abovementioned section on SAP Help Portal, see SAP Note 3119364.

When this functionality is enabled, you can maintain specific unloading and receiving points for the respective addresses of a customer, all under one BP record. Additional data, such as customer calendars and goods receiving hours, can be assigned to the address-specific unloading and receiving points.
