BPEOP_SGRP_SYSID - Define Systems

Define systems to set up your system landscape for the business partner EoP related processes.

In this customizing activity, you define systems that you can then assign to system groups. System groups can be used to meet the requirements of a multi-system landscape with dedicated leading and dependent systems for business partner master data. If you want to block/ unblock business partner master in such a system landscape, this step is mandatory.

Before you can maintain systems, you must define a central customizing system in which you can make all central and transportable Customizing settings, such as defining systems or system groups. For this, go configuration step Define Central Customizing System.

To define a system, choose Display -> Createfrom the application toolbar and follow below steps:

1. In the Systemcolumn, enter the name of the system to be registered.
2. In the System Descriptioncolumn, you can further describe the system. The description maintained for a system ID is language-dependent.
3. Choose Save.

You use the systems you defined here to perform the following actions:

• Assign the system to a system group using configuration step Define System Groups. When making the assignment, you can define whether the system should be a leading or a dependent system.

• Assign an RFC destination to it in configuration step Make Technical System Settings.

• Define logical ports to the system to enable connection via SOA service using configuration step Make SOA Settings.
