In this activity, you activate general settings for TLOG enrichment.

The POS PIPE provides you with transaction data from the connected POS system. Before using this data further, you can enrich it. However, these enrichments are complex and can affect the loading performance from the PIPE to the BI. For this reason, they are optional.

The following options are available:

• Customer

Customer information is very important for marketing analyses. The customer is not always specified in the POS system and is, therefore, determined using tender information. If you want to use the customer information for your analyses, select this indicator.

• Budget

Assigning the customer to a budget is also important for marketing analyses. If you want to use budget information for your analyses, select this indicator.

• Transaction Index

Enriching the transaction index, which uniquely identifies a transaction in a store on a specific day, can considerably increase the volume of data in InfoProviders that contain this field. If you want to perform analyses at this granular level, select this indicator.

You use the PIPE for inbound processing and forwarding your POS data. You also want to perform analyses with POS data, for example, based on daily or weekly TLOG InfoProvider.

All indicators are initial. The system does not enrich the customer, budget, or transaction index.
