In this activity you create a search/server relationship. You only need this if using document search instead of the recommended BW metadata search.

  1. Choose Create SSR.
  2. In the popup, enter a key in the Search/Server Relationship ID field.
  3. Choose Create SSR.
  4. In the Search Engine field, enter the name of the search engine.
  5. In the RFC Destination field, enter (TCP/IP) IMSDEFAULT (see Creating a RFC Destination in the BW System).
  6. In the Description field, enter a description for the search/server relationship.
  7. Choose Save.
Example:
Search Server Relation   TREX
Search Engine   DRFUZZY
RFC Destination (TCP/IP)   IMSDEFAULT
Description   Search/Server Relation for Indexing and Search

Return to the previous dialog box.

  1. Select the newly created search/server relationship in the table.
  2. Choose Set SSR as Default.
  3. In the confirmation prompt, choose Yes.

In the table, the search/server relationship is flagged as default.

Check your settings.

Choose the RFC Destinations tab. Two RFC destinations are listed for the search/server relationship - one for 'I' (index) and one for 'S' (search).

  1. Select the entry for the RFC destination with = I.
  2. In Search Machine Settings, press Connection Test.
