COCB437 - Assign Characteristics to Sequence Definitions
General Material Data Addresses (Business Address Services)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
This section describes which process
instruction characteristics you have to assign when defining process instruction categories of type
In a sequence definition, you specify the number of the phase you must have completed processing before you can process the phase containing the sequence definition.
Assign the following characteristics:
Characteristic | Meaning | Allowed values | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
PPPI_PREDECESSOR | number of the phase | number of a phase of | ||
to be processed first | the respective order | |||
(predecessor phase) |
The characteristic PPPI_PREDECESSOR can only be used once in a sequence definition. If there are several predecessors of a phase, you have to specify a sequence definition for each predecessor.
Define characteristics for process instructions
The standard system contains an example of a sequence definition.
- Select the process instruction of type "sequence definition" to which you want to assign characteristics.
- Go to screen Characteristics/instruct. cat..
- To assign new characteristics, choose New entries.
- Enter the sort number and the characteristic name PPPI_PREDECESSOR.
- Save the settings.
When generating process instructions with the scope of generation 05 (for all predecessors), the value of the characteristic PPPI_PREDECESSOR is automatically assigned. The number of the preceding phase is determined from the relationships defined in the order.
