In this workstep you define authorization groups for digital signatures.

You can use authorization groups to restrict authorization to approve shift reports as follows:

  • You define different authorization groups for users with different task areas. Authorization group COCF_SR is available for the shift report.
  • In the user master record, you assign each user authorization for the authorization group that corresponds to his or her task area (authorization object C_SIGN_BGR).
  • You define individual signatures that must be entered by users belonging to a certain authorization group and use them in the signature strategies for the shift report.

  1. Ascertain the user groups and task areas you must differentiate between in your enterprise.
  2. Define an authorization group for each user group.

Further tips:

Authorization groups are valid in all areas in which the digital signature is used. Before changing existing authorization groups or using them for your purposes, ensure that no conflicts of interest with other areas arise.
