You use this Customizing activity to set up a list of authorization roles. They are then available to the user administrator when creating users for a B2B Web shop.

Authorization roles determine the kind of transactions and activities the Web shop customer can perform.

In the Web shop, a user administrator can create users for Web shop customers in the B2B scenario. In such cases, the user administrator assigns authorization roles directly to the user that is created.

When customers self-register in the Web shop, these authorizations are inherited through the reference user that is assigned.

As part of the standard delivery, SAP provides authorization roles for all application templates delivered with SAP Web Channel Experience Management. For each application template we provide two authorization roles - one meant for logged users (Normal) and one meant for anonymous users (Service).

  • To select the roles you want, use the input help in field Role.
  • To create new authorization roles or copy existing ones and modify them, in the SAP Easy Access screen, use transaction PFCG. Once you have created and saved the new authorization role, you can select it in this Customizing activity, using the input help.
