COM_IOITF_IMG11 - Create Event Determination Layer

In the following IMG activity you create the event determination layer. The event determination layer is an OITF component whose purpose is to determine the event raised by an application.

After an event is determined the event determination layer forwards the event request to the next layer (the event manager).

It is the responsibility of the event determination layer to:

• Ensure that the event an application intends to raise is known to the framework

• Ensure that the relevant context for that event is available to the framework

An application that uses the integration framework can raise an event either explicitly (by directly specifying the event) or implicitly (by passing some information that can be used to uniquely determine the event).
