COM_PRODUCT_HISTVAR - Assign History Types to History Variants

In this activity, you group history types into variants. In this way, different sets of history types can be made available to different applications. While, for example, application X uses a variant containing history types A, B, and C, application Y might use a variant containing history types A, B, and D.

In the standard setup, variant 01 is provided and is technically linked for usage by the Interaction Center WinClient (object workspace). If you want to set up your own variant to be used by the Interaction Center WinClient or any other application, you must set up your variant first and then program the link between your variant and the respective application.

An application that needs to display histories grouped in one variant must initialize the history prior to loading the screen for it. The initialization function module is FUNCTION com_histov_setdata_il. The exporting parameters are the following:

• IV_GUID - Object GUID

• IV_VARIANT - Variant ID

• IV_HID - The history to be displayed first

The application needs to load the screen 100 from function group COM_HISTORYOVERVIEW_UI of package COM_HISTORYOVERVIEW after initializing the history overview. This will contain the histories as customized above.
