COM_PRODUCT_PCPROFIL - Assign ID Profile to People-Centric UI

In this activity, you define the ID profile to be used when searching for products in the People-Centric UI. To do this, you assign an ID profile to the screen structure used by your application. All ID types contained in this profile will then be available in the People-Centric UI for searching for products. If a profile is not assigned, all ID types delivered by SAP and those you have created yourself will be available in the People-Centric UI.

The entries you make in the quick search to search for products using alternative IDs depend on the settings you make here:

• Only one ID type assigned to profile
  This means that you can enter the value of the alternative ID directly without specifying the ID type.

• More than one ID type assigned to profile
  This means that both the ID type and value need to be entered. The distinction between the two is indicated by a separator, which can be specified in the Customizing activity Define ID Types.
  For example, you can search for a book using the ISBN by entering ISBN:3-345*.
  All books are found whose ISBN begins with 3-345.
