COM_PRODUCT_TEMPL - Define Product Template for Configurable Products

In this activity, you specify a configurable product you would like to use as a template for creating configurable products within the Product Modeling Environment (PME). The system will then copy the master data from this product when a new product is created. A product template can be specified for each product type.

Alternatively, you can also specify a product template for a particular category in category maintenance (transaction COMM_HIERARCHY). A product template specified within a category overrides any product template defined in Customizing.
