CON_FAIC04 - Define Settings for Dynamic Price Release

In this step, you define the price types the system uses for dynamic price release.

The resulting sequence is processed starting with the lowest position and continuing to the highest position. If there is no valid price for a price type, the system uses the next price type in the sequence. Processing of the sequence ends when a valid price is found (whether released or not). If no valid price exists for any of the price types, processing of the material or batch ends.

Create price types for the dynamic price release function and make sure the sequence is configured properly, You need a separate sequence of price types for each combination of valuation class and valuation procedure.

You will find the following entries in the settings. The valuation class and the valuation procedure are identical and match those of the material:

• Sequence = 1 price type = 002 (standard price)

• Sequence = 2 price type = 003 (planned price)

Dynamic price release always uses the standard price. The planned price is only used if there is no standard price for the material to be posted.

If neither a standard price nor a planned price exists, no price is released. In the case goods movements, the system continues to use the existing inventory price.
