In this Customizing activity, you can define a customer-specific or user-specific layout profile for the front end of the Shop Floor Dispatching and Monitoring Tool(SFDM).

One layout profile consists of three subprofiles:

  • Color profile - With this profile, you mainly define colors for most of the graphical elements that appear on the screen, such as the application background, the colors of the capacity requirements, or colors for lines and buttons.
  • Ribbon profile - With this profile, you determine the structure of the ribbon and define which elements are displayed, and on which tabs they are grouped.
  • Other settings profile - With this profile, you control on the one hand the interaction behavior of the front end to a certain extent, on the other hand the display of some additional information, such as alerts, or additional times.

You can assign a specific set of layout settings to each user.

Before you can create a layout profile, you have to first maintain three subprofiles.

For each of the subprofiles, you need an XML file. Either you create this XML using the front-end function Layout Settings, or you use the existing XML string from the SAP standard layout profile SAP00001.

For more information about creating the XML file using the SFDM tool, see the SAP Help Portal → SAP Business Suite → SAP ERP Add-Ons → Shop Floor Dispatching and Monitoring Tool.

If you want to create your own detail layout profile (for color, ribbon, or other settings) and include it in the main layout profile, do the following:

  1. Choose the relevant view from the dialog structure.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Enter a technical name and a meaningful profile description. You can assign the technical name only once.
  4. Choose Load local file. You can choose the XML file you created in advance from the upload menu.
  5. Choose Maintain Layout Profilefrom the dialog structure. Again, assign a technical name and a description. The detail profiles that you already created are available in the input help.
  6. Save your layout profile settings.
