SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define term rules for the commodity pricing engine (CPE). A term rule is used in all terms of a commodity pricing formula that involves the evaluation of quotations in a certain period.

A term rule consists of a calculation rule, a surcharge rule, a rule for the definition of the price fixation option, and two period determination rules: one for the quotations and one for the currency exchange rates. Instead of using a period determination for currency exchange rates of a term, you can also use daily exchange rates.

For a detailed description, you can also link documents to the term.

You can restrict the use of a term rule to certain sales areas. If you want to do this, you have to define these sales areas as valid areas. If no valid areas are defined, the use of the term rule is unrestricted and it can be used in all areas.

Requirements

The term-specific settings for the CPE (calculation, surcharge, definition of the price fixation option, and period determination rules) and their parts must first be defined.

The following namespaces are valid for the routines:

0000000 - 0009999: General CPE routines from SAP
0010000 - 0019999: Industry-specific routines from SAP
0020000 - 0029999: Routines from SAP partners
0030000 - 0099999: Customer-specific routines
0100000 - 9999999: Not used yet

The following namespaces are valid for the rules:

10000 - 8ZZZZ: Industry-specific rules from SAP
90000 - 9ZZZZ: Rules from SAP partners
A0000 - ZZZZZ: Customer-specific rules

Standard settings

When a term rule does not have a specified surcharge rule, a surcharge is not added to the calculated quotation.
