With this IMG activity you configure a selected application for using the Formula Assembly within the Commodity Pricing Engine.

You must have copied a provided template e.g. CPE_FORMULA_ASSEMBLY for the predelivered BRFplus application CPE_FORMULA_ASSEMBLY to the Customer namespace, and (optionally) adjusted the copy according to your requirements, or you have created an individual BRFplus application.

  • To copy the template of the predelivered BRFplus application, run transaction BRF+ (or BRFPLUS) in the Customizing system.
  • To find the BRFplus application CPE_FORMULA_ASSEMBLY, use the Search function. Select the More menu, and then Copy (CTRL+C).
    Note that, for a copy created, a Customer-specific development package is required, and the indicator Include Contained Objects must be set.
  • To find the copy for making further adjustments, use the search function again.
  • Finally, activate your application.

  1. Choose an application from the field help (F4) and .
  2. Enter a BRFplus application:
  • To test a BRF+ application in the test system, enter an application in column Test BRFplus Application Name. For more information, see SAP Note 2706667.

  • The application entered in column BRFplus Application Name will always be applied in the productive system. This application will also be used in the test system, if you leave column Test BRFplus Application Name empty.

  • Since a test system, like a quality system, can have characteristics of a productive system, you can use BAdI BADI_CPE_FA_SYSTEM_CLIENT_ROLE to adjust the characteristics, and thus still use your test application.

  • You can either assign the BRF+ application to a defined pricing procedure or, if no individual BRFplus application is assigned, leave the pricing procedure empty.

  1. Assign the functions of the BRFplus application to be performed during the formula assembly.
  2. To transport this configuration and the BRFplus application, run transaction BRF+, and add the BRFplus application to a transport request, and transport to a subsequent system.
