In this Customizing activity, you can ensure that customer-required attributes are considered by the system when the formula is assembled. This happens when you assign customer-added fields in the condition tables (part of the condition technique) to customer-added fields in the Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) table/objects formula and term structures.

The formula assembly component value specifies how the system handles the content of the field. These values are hard-coded in the formula assembly (FA) Business Add-In (BAdI).

This Customizing activity therefore enables you to have your own condition technique and formula fields without having to code them yourself or change existing code.

This table also allows you to assign standard CPE fields (both condition technique and FA Customizing ones) to customer-specific fields. In this way, the standard handling of these fields will be modified. Be aware that if you use standard CPE field names in this table, there can be negative effects on the FA.. You can also assign your own field to standard FA fields and vice versa, but this is not recommended.

The fields used must exist in the Condition Technique (in any condition table with usage FA) and the corresponding FA Customizing tables.

For example, condition table CUSV1FDT is a customer table for the condition type 1FDT.

It has a field called ZCPE_COUNTRY. This field should be mapped to field Z_COUNTRY during FA.

Field Z_COUNTRY is added to become part of table CPEC_FORMULA.

FA knows that ZCPE_COUNTRY should be assigned to Z_COUNTRY because of what is set in this table.
