In this IMG activity you define the rounding rules that are used by the commodity pricing engine (CPE).

A rounding rule consists of a rounding routine, and indicator for the default rounding rule, and two input parameters for this routine, the number of decimals, and the number of predecimals. Only one of these parameters can be used. The rounding rules are used when a CPE formula is evaluated.

If you want to define rounding rules using a different rounding routine to the one delivered by SAP, you must first define this rounding routine.

The following namespaces are valid for the routines:

0000000 - 0009999: General CPE routines from SAP
0010000 - 0019999: Industry-specific routines from SAP
0020000 - 0029999: Routines from SAP partners
0030000 - 0099999: Customer-specific routines
0100000 - 9999999: not used yet

The following namespaces are valid for the rules:

0000000000 - 0ZZZZZZZZZ: General CPE rules from SAP
1000000000 - 8ZZZZZZZZZ: Industry-specific rules from SAP
9000000000 - 9ZZZZZZZZZ: Rules from SAP partners
A000000000 - ZZZZZZZZZZ: Customer-specific rules

A rounding rule that uses rounding routine 0000001 with two decimals rounds the value 12.345,12345 to 12.345,12.
