CPRO_SAP_SETTINGS - Override Default Global Settings

In this Customizing activity, you can override the global settings delivered by SAP with your own preferred values.
You have checked the global settings delivered by SAP in the previous Customizing activity Check Global Settings.
The following settings are relevant to Project Management:
- Area 0002 - Master Switches

- Notify When Original Task Dates Have Changed
- You can activate this switch to be notified when the original task dates of a mirrored task have changed.
- If the original task of a mirrored task has been updated with new constraints, when you view the mirrored task in read-only mode, the start and finish dates on the Basic Data and Dates and Work tab pages are not synchronized with the original task. In this case, an icon and a message appear next to each affected date, indicating that the date has changed in the original task.

- Resource Assignment Data inMy Tasks Dashboard
- With this setting, you determine whether or not detailed information about resource-task assignments, such as the assigned effort and the timeframe of the assignment, is available in the My Tasks dashboard.
- Activate Alternative Gantt Chart
- With this setting, you can deactivate the SAPUI5-based Gantt chart in your Project Management applications. After deactivation, the Gantt chart based on Java Plug-In technology is active.
- Project Status Report Without Interactive Forms
- With this setting, you determine whether or not project status reports are generated without using Interactive Forms.
- Approval Documents Without Interactive Forms
- With this setting, you determine whether or not approval documents for phases are generated without using Interactive Forms.
- Note Printing Without Interactive Forms
- With this setting, you determine whether or not notes are printed without using Interactive Forms.
- Fact Sheet Printing Without Interactive Forms
- With this setting, you determine whether or not fact sheets are printed without using Interactive Forms.
- Alternative Chart in Multi-Project Monitor
- With this setting, you can deactivate the SAPUI5-based Gantt chart in the multi-project monitor. After deactivation, the Gantt chart based on Java Plug-In technology is active.

- Activate Fixed Values for Milestones

With this setting, you can define a fixed duration for milestone tasks in projects and project templates.
If you assign the duration 0, you ensure that milestones are treated as a single point in time. They only have one date, the finish date, which is displayed in the graphical view of projects using the special milestone symbol.
If you assign a duration greater than 0, milestone tasks have a start date and a finish date, but they can only have a start constraint. In the graphical view, only their start date is displayed. You cannot assign work to milestones with a fixed duration.
If you do not activate this feature, milestone tasks are scheduled like normal tasks. In the graphical view, only their start date is displayed.
- If you have defined a fixed duration, you should also adjust your field control in the Customizing activity Set Up Field Control. For object categories TTO (Operative task) and TTT (Task in project template), go to the Field Ctrl Acc. To Addit. Conditions view. Create entries for the Duration, Work, and Start or Finish Constraint fields of the external structure DPR_TS_API_TASK_O using condition C050 (Task is Milestone), and assign the appropriate field control properties.
- Deactivate Simplified Authorization Management
- With this setting, you determine whether Project Management uses the new, simplified concept for authorization management or reverts back to the concept used previously. The new concept establishes a simplified way of determining project-specific authorizations. You can check your projects for differences as well as incompatibilities between the old and the new approach by using the report /S4PPM/AUTHORIZATION_ANALYSIS.

- Updating Tasks Based on Roles
- With this setting, you determine whether or not the planned work of tasks in projects can be updated automatically based on the work specified in their role and resource assignments. If enabled, the automatic update can be activated for individual projects on the Dates and Work tab page of the project definition. With your setting, you also specify whether the update is active (value 2) or inactive (value 1) in new projects by default.
