Use

In this Customizing activity, you make settings for accounting integration using single-object controlling.

Requirements

The object link infrastructure is used to communicate with the accounting system. SAP provides you with the preconfigured object type 0FIN_INT_SOC_R3. This is where you enter customer-specific data, such as the RFC destination (see the Customizing activity Define Object Links for Accounting Integration). The RFC destination and available services in SAP S/4HANA, for example, are read from the object type for integration.

You can also use the preconfigured entries as templates for creating new entries in which you define your customer-specific integration. This gives you the option of configuring the communication to different accounting systems for different project types.

If you want to use your own object type instead of the preconfigured ones, copy the SAP object type and make your changes.

Standard settings

Activities

  • Enter the object type and a frame for each project type for which you activated accounting integration.
The frame you specify there is displayed in Project Management on the tabstrip for accounting in the Overview area. You can also specify an inactive frame here.
  • If you want to deactivate the costing function in Project Management , select the No Costing checkbox.
