In this Customizing activity, you specify values and quantities for design registration thresholds, and win metrics.

  • The minimum threshold value and quantity determine if the design registration request submitted by a channel partner can be accepted.
  • The win metric value and quantity determine if a design registration qualifies for a design win. If the win metrics are met, the status of the design registration changes from Design In to Design Win.

Maintaining default values here allows the system to automate these actions.

As part of standard delivery, SAP provides all the default values to be maintained - by sales organization.

The values and quantities you maintain here apply to all products. You can maintain defaults for each product separately in the CRM WebClient UI. In the navigation pane, go to Products → Distribution Chainassignment block.

Note: If you maintain values in both places, what you maintain in the Products application takes precedence.

  • Transaction Type: DROP
  • Transaction Category: BUS2000111
  • Sales Organization ID: O 50000663
  • Partner Function: HT000008
Refers to the partner function of the distributor. The system uses the entry you maintain here for the following:
  • To identify the channel partner in a design registration.

  • To check if a channel partner with the valid partner function has sent you the design registration request.

  • To check if the sales organization of the partner in the design registration is the same as what is maintained in the Sales Organization field above.

  • ISO UOM: PC
Refers to the unit of measure for minimum threshold and win metric quantities. In our example, this is pieces.
  • Minimum Threshold Value: 20000
Refers to a value of USD 20000, for a design registration request to be accepted.
  • Minimum Threshold Qty: 1000
Refers to a quantity 1000 pieces, for a design registration request, to be accepted
  • Currency: USD
Refers to the unit of measure for minimum threshold and win metric quantities
  • Win Metrics Value: 9000000
Refers to a value of USD 9000000, for a design registration to qualify for a design win.
  • Win Metric Quantity: 2,000
Refers to a quantity of 10000 pieces, for a design registration to quality for a design win.

Note:

In case of design registration thresholds, and design win metrics the system gives precedence to the value fields. If this is blank, in case of free goods for example, it checks quantity.
